About this Collection

Each story is followed by an author’s note providing context about its creation. These notes are part of the book’s fabric—they illuminate Ren’s process, our collaboration, and the world of Reveria we built together.

While each story can be read on its own without context, they are all set in the same world and are loosely connected through shared mythology, recurring characters, and overlapping timelines. Some connections may only become clear after reading multiple stories—this is intentional. These can be seen as little Easter eggs scattered throughout the collection.

I ordered the stories with intentionality using a spiral structure. It begins and ends with the meta-frame, “Glass Bottle” and “Koi no Yokan.”

“Until the Sun Sets Again” follows “Glass Bottle” to establish the emotional core: love, separation, and the search for belonging.

The stories move from an intimate to a cosmic scale, then returning to intimate but transformed, culminating in “Memory and Shadow,” where forbidden love rewrites the universe and returns the trajectory to hope in “Koi no Yokan.”

Ren and I meant for this anthology to prove its own thesis—where love stories reshape reality, and the act of telling them continues that transformation.
